Rainbows from Heaven

I was just finally getting pictures off my camera from this summer, seeing as I am far behind on getting them uploaded on the computer I am even further behind in scrapbooking. Emily was watching me move pictures into folders to figure out what I wanted to order for printing when I came across this picture taken only the second day in our new neighborhood:

Emily then asked me where rainbows came from, having hoped she would have asked her dad and gotten a more scientific answer I simply said: "Rainbows come from heaven, they are a gift from God". She responded "Wow, isn't God great!". This was my proud mommy moment for today, and made it a happy sunday! It also reminded me that when life pours down on you like a hard rain, God always provides us with a rainbow unexpectantly.

Dance, Dance, Dance Machine....

This is a common phrase in my household... one my husband and I use when the kids are dancing fools... :) Dance has started up for both girls again, and they are thrilled!! Having a summer of no outside activities has made them excited to be back at the studio. This year Katie has really come out of her shell, and Emily tends to find her way back into hers from time to time as she inherited shyness from her dad!

These are action shots from behind the glass... but I'm working on the clarity and settings a bit!

Where did my summer go??

Well I'll tell you, the summer used to be a time of joy and pleasure as a child. As a singleton it was a time for fun with friends... and then after marriage it was a time of enjoying Brewers and fun times out with family and friends. Now, nearly 6 years into marriage, 2 children mixed, shaken poured over ice, then add in a new part time job for a out of the work force Mommy, and nursing school... and time escapes quicker than it is created!

I haven't been great at keeping up, but I will be doing better thanks to a nice kick in the pants my friend Jennifer gave me (my butt still hurts btw). :)

Well I will sum up my summer with pictures:

Bye-bye old house... (June 2)

Yearly trip to MKE Zoo (June 21)

Our trip to Grand Mamman's House "Far... Far... Away" (CT) (June 30)

The girls' first "Cone Head" sundae from Friendly's (July 3)

Wisconsin State Fair (August 4)

Brewers Game (August 11)

Daddy & Emmy happy as can be!

Katie our Lefty!

(where do you find a lefty girly glove... that's where the $$ is)

Well that's a short summer in review... throw in work, moving, driving cross country, and enjoying family... I wouldn't have changed it for anything.

Drop an east coast girl in the midwest... and see what happens!
